The Marketplace team is pleased to announce a series of enhancements and fixes to the App Review System, designed to improve the user experience and ensure high-quality reviews.
What's new?
  • Simplified Review Access
: We removed restrictions that mandated that an agency admin must be part of a specific sub-account to leave a review. This was preventing agency admins who have access to all sub-accounts from leaving their reviews on apps.
  • Flexible Review Requirements
: While users are rating an app, writing a review is no longer mandatory.
  • Updated Review Eligibility
: We removed the restriction that a user can leave a rating only in the first 15 days of installation. However, the same restriction remains on uninstallation - users can leave a review within 15 days .
  • Enhanced Review Quality
: Sandbox accounts are now prevented from posting app reviews to ensure authentic feedback from real users.
  • Installation-Based Review Limits
: Reviews are now limited to one per installation rather than one per user. Agency-targeted apps allow one review per agency, while sub-account apps allow one review per sub-account.
Why is this important?
Improved Accessibility
: These changes make it easier for the right users to provide feedback without unnecessary barriers, ensuring more comprehensive app reviews across different user types.
Better Review Quality
: By preventing sandbox reviews and implementing proper review limits per installation, the marketplace will showcase more authentic and representative user feedback.
