Google Merchant Center is now available as a Marketplace app, allowing merchants to connect their Ecommerce Store to Google Merchant Center and sync eligible
Store Products
for visibility across Google Shopping and other supported Google surfaces.Key capabilities include:
- Connect Google Merchant Center
- Install the app from Marketplace and connect your Google account.
- Select the Google Merchant Center account and Ecommerce Store you want to link.
- If you do not have a Merchant Center account, follow the documentation available within the app to create one and verify your store domain.
- Automatic Store Product Sync
- Only eligible Store Products assigned to the connected Ecommerce Storeare synced. Products from other stores or products not assigned to the connected store will not be synced.
- One-time payment products and digital productsare supported.
- Supported updates to product information, pricing, inventory, images, and variants continue syncing automatically after setup.
- Merchant Center Data Source
- A data source named "leadconnector"is created using the country and language configured for the shipping origin.
- Deleting this data source removes the synced products. A new data source can be created using Force Sync.
- Errors & Product Issues
- Relevant errors and warnings are shown during and after linking to help merchants resolve issues that may affect product approval.
- Google reviews submitted products and determines their approval and eligibility.
- Multiple Store Connections
- Multiple Store-to-Merchant Center mappings are supported.
- Once a Store or Merchant Center account is linked, it cannot be used in another mapping until the existing connection is removed.
How to Use It?
- Open Marketplaceand install theGoogle Merchant Centerapp.
- Connect your Google account and select your Merchant Center account.
- Select the Ecommerce Store you want to connect.
- Complete the setup to start syncing eligible Store Products assigned to that store.
- Review sync status, errors, or warnings and use Force Sync when a manual refresh is required.
Key Points to Note:
- Only eligible Store Products assigned to the connected Ecommerce Store are synced.
- One-time payment products and digital products are supported.
- A valid connected store domain is required for synchronization.
- Google controls product review and approval after products are submitted.
- The integration syncs products with Merchant Center but does not create or manage Google Ads campaigns.
