What’s New?
We're excited to introduce a new feature that enables store owners to manage and customize the countries available for shipping on the checkout page. With this update, store owners can select specific countries for shipping and set default customer location preferences. The key functionalities include:
1. Shipping Locations
Store owners now have the ability to control where they can ship to during the checkout process:
  • Ship to all locations:
    Shipping available globally.
  • Ship to specific countries:
    If this option is selected, a new
    Search to select countries
    field will appear, enabling store owners to select specific countries for shipping. Only the selected countries will appear to customers in the checkout page's shipping details section.
2. Default Customer Location
Store owners can now configure how the customer's default location is set in the checkout process:
  • No default location:
    The customer’s location will not be preselected.
  • Geolocate:
    The customer's location will be detected based on their IP address and automatically populated.
  • Show all countries:
    All available countries will be listed for the customer to choose from. If
    Ship to specific countries
    is selected, only the countries chosen in the Shipping Locations section will be shown in the customer’s default location list.
How to Use It?
  1. Open your Store Builder and edit the Checkout Page of your Ecommerce Store.
  2. Select the
    Checkout element
    . To customize Shipping locations and Default customer location, head to the
    Advanced Section
    in Settings on the right side.
  3. In the
    Form Options
    section, choose one of the following Shipping location options:
  • Ship to all locations
  • Ship to specific countries (this will reveal the
    Search to select countries
    field, where you can select the countries you want to ship to).
  1. Under the
    Default customer location
    section, select your preferred option:
  • No default location
  • Geolocate
  • Show all countries (only selected countries will show if
    Ship to specific countries
    was selected).
  1. Save and publish your changes to enable the new country selection options on your checkout page.
Key Points to Note:
  • If the country/state field is hidden, the country selection options will not be shown on the checkout page.
  • If no countries are selected under
    Ship to specific countries
    , then all countries will be available to customers at checkout.
  • The
    Geolocate
    feature simplifies the checkout experience for international customers by automatically detecting their location.
  • This feature provides flexibility for store owners to either expand or restrict shipping locations, improving the overall customer experience.
