We’re happy to announce that now Audiences can be created from the dedicated Audiences section under Ad Manager settings as well along with the already existing option to create it during the campaign creation process. This will allow users to create new Custom or Lookalike audiences beforehand and use them while creating campaigns.
👀 What’s New?
  1. Audiences tab under Ad Manager settings.
  2. Earlier, both custom and lookalike audiences can be created only while creating a campaign but now, user has an option to create the audiences before creating a campaign from the audiences tab.
  3. Users now have the ability to delete an audience from the list of existing audiences.
  4. Users now have the ability to edit the name and description of an existing audiences.
👷 How It Works:
  • The list of all the audiences created within Ad Manager and the ones already created in the connected Meta Ad account will be synced and shown under the Audiences tab.
  • The process of creating a new lookalike or custom audience remains same as we currently have. Help document to create Lookalike and Custom audiences can be referred for a quick revision.
  • An ellipses with the options to Edit and Delete is present in line with each audience, user can select the desired option to edit the name and description of the audience or delete the audience respectively.
⭐ Why it Matters:
Enhanced user journey: The capability to create a new custom or lookalike audience before creating a campaign will add to the ease of publishing a campaign with minimal steps.
📌 Important Notes:
  1. The name and description of an audience can be updated. We do not allow editing the details of each audience due to the presence of many audience sources in Meta and limited with our Ad Manager at this point leading to discrepancies if editing is allowed.
  2. When a user tries to delete an audience that is part of one or multiple active campaigns, proper validation will be shown informing user that the audience cannot be deleted as it belongs to an active campaign.
