Phone Country Code track for workflows

Automatically assign a contacts location based on their phone number country code when they enter the into software.
Then, allow for workflows to use the phone country code/location of each contact to assign the correct phone number (USA, UK, etc) and automatically send workflow texts with the correct phone number.
This way, you can have contacts from global locations all entering the same text workflow sequence, without creating separate one and assigning a different user with a different country code phone number.

Those who have built in several countries (like me), this is a must-have, having lc phone numbers for every country, so we can have less costs in sms and clients can receive calls/sms in is own country phone.
Portuguese leads when they receive a phone call or an sms comes from the US, usually they don't interact, a fraud alert will fire in their mind.
Having a way to set up several phones and rerouting this in a central setting will be the ideal solution

I've created a workaround flow for the auto configuring contacts phone/location field but the auto-configuring for the workflow sms is 100% needed.

Eddie Jackson I guess we are all on the same issue, care to share your workaround?

Gabriel Corella I've just set up an automation that when a phone number has +61 then assign to Australia, +44 then assign to UK, so on and so forth. It's not 100% as some inputs don't always include country codes, but I've found it works well enough for the ones that do include country codes. But not nearly as great as it would be if they auto-configure it.

If that could drill down to further within the country based on state, postcode (for me in Australia) - that would be so beneficial - we have a lot of franchisors not interested at this stage in GHL, becuase of the multiple contacts

This would be very useful especially for those of us in the UK
Many UK people dont have international calls enabled on there mobiles due to carrier costs. And UK assigned numbers within HL can not market to USA
It would be great of it was possible for this to also work with chat bot messages so if the number in chat bot request is USA it is answered via USA agency number UK by UK agency number etc

Kevin Crossland: Exactly my point - fellow Brit here marketing to both UK, USA, and Canada so it's quite the headache.
Really hoping that if we push this idea enough we can get it rolled out eventually.
At the moment I'm exploring Whatsapp as an option, only issue being Americans don't use it as much.
