Use Smart List Filters in Workflow Branch Logic

Idea: Enable the use of smart list filters in the "If/And/Or" branch module within the workflow builder.
Use Case: I want to send contacts down specific branches based on conditions like date ranges. For example:
-Check if a contact's membership start date falls between their renewal date or anniversary date to determine if they are an active member.
-If they are within the date range, they go down the "Active Member" branch. If not, they go down the "Inactive Member" branch.
This feature would be incredibly useful for managing memberships, lifecycle stages, and other date-based automations. Even if I had to use a bulk action to send contacts through this workflow manually, the added functionality would be a game-changer.
Why This Matters: Smart list filters are powerful, and extending their functionality to workflows would make automation more dynamic and versatile. This feature could save time, reduce manual work, and open up a wide range of new automation possibilities.

I see this as a nightmare on trouble shooting and causing failures when the smart list is updated / changed by a user not aware it is being used on a workflow.
I think a daily workflow run to check the qualifications you want to work on and use that to set / update a tag. Like if in date range set tag to "active member"

John Demitri makes total sense, thank you for bringing this up. I can see a backend tracker that shows which workflow(s) this SmartList is used in, and then messages a user that they are about to change something that automations rely on. Not failsafe by any means, but at least it'd be a good start?
