I could really use a contact added to smart list trigger.
I can make way better filter in the contact section and have it where people are dynamically added to smart list based on those. It would be awesome to have the trigger contact added to smartlist for automations!

Hey Jared Gobler, how would this work? The Smart List isn't a thing. It is only a certain filter set. How someone gets added to a Smart List is by applying that set of criteria to their record. Those criteria (usually a tag) is what you would use to initiate the workflow.

I'm confused - if I can't use a smart list as a trigger - what are they used for? I've come from Activecampaign the the main trigger we use for starting automations is lists. IF we want to add someone to the automation, we simply add them to the list.
Smart lists are great because they are dynamic based on contact values - but apart from manually sending comms, what else are they useful for if they can't trigger automations.
Am I missing something?

Steve Day, a smart list is a particular filter set. To put someone in that list you apply to them the relevant criteria (typically add a particular tag, but maybe it is a custom Contact Type).

YES this is a must. I have a dynamic list. Once the install date is more than 10 years ago, it adds them to my "warranty expired" list. Which I would like if that as soon as their warranty expires, they get communication. Currently no way to do this with triggers or actions, very frustrating.

My guess is Add Tag. That tag is what you use to trigger the workflow.
