Find Opportunity

Add Find Opportunity as an additional Workflow Action same as Find Contact this action is also essential for cases like if you would like to automate a process of determining in which Pipeline and or Pipeline Stage is the Opportunity sitting at.

More than just the ability to find, please consider allowing the association to be added to the workflow, this way all of the information from the opportunity would be associated to the workflow and available to be used in the workflow.

Paul Manili We are trying to release this by the month end. There is 1 dependent action that is WIP and we will be releasing them together.

George Givargis There is 1 dependency pending here. We are trying to go live with the action by the end of the month.

This is desperately needed and would fix another problem that is a programmatic issue of the platform. Currently, opportunities ONLY UPDATES LATEST OPPORTUNITY and not the triggering opportunity. So things for ecommerce, creative, etc. any contact that has multiple opportunities. i.e. say they have 5 active opportunities in a pipeline, if you update the second of 5 opportunities through trigger, when you use the Create/Update opportunity function, it updates the opportunity but not the right one, just the latest one, even though it wasn't the triggering opportunity for that automation/workflow. That's a massive issue and not how automators expect this to work or described as to how it even works. This feature will allow automators to fix this problem without you needing to fix Create/Update as you can base Update an opportunity on the find function for which it should update, similar to your "event" function for custom times.
Prasoon Dadhich Shaun Clark::
This would also fix another issue as a way to resolve the issue I describe in
Support ticket #2644360 & FB Post: https://www.facebook.com/groups/gohighlevel/posts/2322841974841991/
This will also make this system far better than any other platform out there for automations/workflows. Please please please resolve the issue I've detailed above, this function will fix the problem. I've also heard this is in alpha/your dev team already is working on this and would likely resolve the issue I've described in my support ticket and facebook post.

Rob Hole: This is WIP and will be released this quarter. You will be able to select the latest, first or the opportunity that has triggered the workflow

Prasoon Dadhich -- There's not going to be a search function to look for a specific opportunity?
P
Prasoon Dadhich
Frank Obregon You will be able to add filters to search for specific opportunities.

Prasoon Dadhich So we will be able to filter by, for example, opportunity name, status, custom fields etc?
As an example use-case, say we want to trigger a certain text to go out if someone submits a form fill but already has an opportunity with certain criteria (e.g. opportunity is open, name is "xyz", last changed is < x, etc). And maybe if that opportunity does not exist, it creates a new opportunity. I suppose that may also involve if/then statements.
I think that would be a big solve in a lot of peoples' automations. Will that capability be available?
Thank you so much for working on this!!

Prasoon Dadhich Any update to this? Not being able to update a specific opportunity when a single contact has multiple opportunities in a single pipeline (or multiple pipelines) is a massive problem.
The entire feature allowing for duplicate opportunities is made almost valueless without the ability to find a specific opportunity and update it or change it's stage. We desperately need the ability to use "opportunity id" robustly in workflows to find/isolate and update specific opportunities.
Side note. With the upcoming Custom Objects and Association features, we need the ability to associate a custom object with a specific opportunity. That way we can create workflows like "custom object is updated > update the associated opportunity" or vice versa "opportunity is updated > update associated custom object".

Choose an Opportunity to update
M
Matthew Etline
Currently in workflows, you only can Create/Update an Opportunity (this assumes whether you choose duplicate or not). However, if you have multiple Opportunities in different pipelines, there is no way to update it unless an event is triggred by the Opportunity. For example, if I have 2 opportunities in 2 different pipelines, and I trigger a Contact Update, but I only want to update one of the Opportunities, I cannot do that. We should be able to navigate from the contact down to the specific Opportunity to manipulate.
