Feature Request: Automate task Assignment to contact owner in Workflows.
Currently, when creating a task manually in GHL, users must select both the contact and the task assignee from dropdown menus. This process can be time-consuming and prone to errors, especially when the assignee should always be the Contact Owner.
It would be highly beneficial to have an automation feature in workflows that allows tasks to be automatically assigned to the Contact Owner when a task is created (either manually or via an opportunity).
Proposed Solution:
- Add a "Contact Owner" option in workflows under the Assign Task To field when creating or updating tasks.
- Allow workflows to trigger an Update Task action to dynamically reassign the task to the Contact Owner post-creation.
Use Case:
- Sales teams can save time and ensure tasks are assigned to the correct team member without manual selection.
- This feature would greatly improve workflow efficiency, especially for large teams managing high volumes of contacts and opportunities.
