Create Trigger / Action for IG that checks if a person follows you as a condition just like Many Chat does to trigger sending a next step or message (see screenshot).
How this would work is when a person DM's or Comments on a post/story/reel you can have a condition that checks if that person follows you on IG before sending the next message. If the person does not follow you it comes back as "false" so your follow up message can ask them to follow you first before sending the thing they want to opt in for or info they request from you. Once they do follow you it comes back as "true" then you send your message.
Why is this important because IG pushes messages / DMs / replies into the "message request" folder which gets lost and at times causes the receiver to miss the content you are sending or your messages get rejected or missed all together.
This helps cut down on spam users and helps keep everyone who is engaging with your content to be top of funnel and in the main message inbox so the thread doesn't get missed.

This feature is available with ManyChat, and some of our users would like to be able to require their contacts to follow them on Instagram first before the HL system automatically sends the contact their lead magnet. This would be an awesome, and helpful, add-on to the "Reply Via DM" automation.
This feature would save a ton of time and energy. The way Instagram works, if someone comments the keyword to trigger the automation, if they aren't following you first, the message gets sent as a message invite. If they even see it at all, they then respond with, I didn't get your message. So, then the business owner has to to hand type in all the info, links, etc. and for some reason no matter how many times you say it, how you word it, people still drop that keyword without following first.
