Create contact from referral form

I have created a refer a friend form that captures a referral full name, email address, and phone number. I would love to be able to create a contact based off of the custom fields that are created for this form. Currently, the only way to create a contact in an automation is with a contactless execution method like "Inbound webhook".
It would be great to be able to create a contact off of custom fields.

I confirm that it's not possible to create a contact in a workflow where a contact has already been identified at the trigger level. I just got off a call with Support confirming that it's not doable. I have a use case where my client has to send an invite form to 5 people (seats) in order to grant them access to community and specific courses. Because the concept of seats does not exist, I had to create 5 custom email fields on the main contact. The invite form must contain the contact's email otherwise there's no way to store those custom field values when the form is submitted. This results in the main contact (ie my client's client) being the "workflow's contact" and any Create Contact action after that is skipped, because the workflow thinks a contact already exists. This results is zero contacts created and all 5 invites are sent to the main workflow contact.

I always thought this is possible via automation workflows. I also have many custom fields, and I need this please.
