I reported this as a "bug" in the system (#2998719) but was told this is a known issue in the system and that I should post here to get support to make this change. So my use case is related to one of my charity clients. In the US, we have to provide end of year reporting on their total donations for the year. This is a key document according to the IRS regulations in the US. So I created a property for "Last Donation Amount 2025" and the date, and a property for "Total Donation Amount 2025". Then in the automations, I wanted to use a math operation. The formula would be to "add" the Last Donation Amount which is {{payment.total_amount}} to the current Total Donation Amount and replace the Total Donation Amount with the new total. To do this, I need to update the contact field "Last Donation Amount" to be = to the {{payment.total_amount}}. However you can only perform this if the field is created as a text field. It doesn't allow you to create a number field or a monetary field and have it update the property. When this field is set to a text field, then the math operation won't work. Here is a link to the video clip I did for the support team to show this issue in further detail. https://us06web.zoom.us/clips/share/A2F3MRZEUmx4Z29KaFFpZURHV0g3cGlZcWtRAQ
