'Assign User To Opportunity' Action

It's possible to assign a user to a contact, but that doesn't change the assigned person on the opportunity card. It'd be great to have an action that makes it possible to assign a specific person to the opportunity.

Is this really not do-able? When we have a lead come in the contact gets assigned user and the opportunity is left unassigned???

And also, once a user has been assigned to an opportunity, we should be able to send an internal notification to that user to tell them they've just been assigned to an opportunity.

Yes please! We need an automation to assign a user to a opportunity as an OWNER (not just a follower)

The automations only assign contacts to the contact level but their is no way to assign users by automation to the opportunity level. Only manually one by one....Please create assign to user at the opportunity level, where they can round robin, assign to specific etc.

Only able to assign users to contact level. So when deselecting the settings section to decouple opportunity/contact owners. The automations only assign contacts to the contact level but their is no way to assign users by automation to the opportunity level. Only manually one by one....Please create assign to user at the opportunity level, where they can round robin, assign to specific etc.

i remember in an older version this could be done by using a key trigger suhx as name, email, phone, etc. this was a very good idea when it was set up in yhe older.version and the automations were much easier back than.
