Add wait step based on date in custom field

We need to be able to send emails/SMS based on a future date added to a custom field, e.g send 1 month before date.
One use case is for pre-paid hours with an expiry date, and sending notifications to the client of the upcoming expiry - see recording https://share.descript.com/view/ogb74q4yeBx

You can use the event start date action with custom daet and use that for your wait step. But we need to make this UX simple and we will be wokring on teh same this Q.

It would be terrific if the workflow could update the wait step if the custom field value changes. In my case, I work with real estate agents and some workflows are based on the closing date. If the closing date changes (custom field), the workflow continues with the original date and does not use the new closing date.
