Write now the custom providers are for sms, email and phone only. It would be great if you could replicate the sms custom provider but have the type as messaging and detach from the phone number.

Use cases: Open up custom providers to internal chat systems such as slack, mattermost, rocketchat and other services.

I am currently doing this already but it's over top of the sms custom provider. Seems like 99% of the functionality is already there.
