Become An API First Company

GoHighLevel must become the leader in being an API first company ie anything that can be done via GUI can be accomplished via API so that soon with GHL you can do more via APIs than the GUI.

100% It's honestly crazy they haven't done this already. This should be the #1 priority. Scrap the built in AI assistant and go API first.

Especially workflows. either create an option to export/import Workflows as JSON or let us edit workflows via api

GHL need to move on this yesterday. All of the listed scopes when you set up a PIT should have corresponding API endpoints by now. We've been staring at this to do list for well over 2 years.
Its the #1 request in the API ideas board and it's the most requested feature in the FB group. How is this not done already?!

this is the single biggest gap in the GoHighLevel API right now. With MCP and AI agents exploding (see the "Claude MCP" request), being able to read workflows but not create or edit them is the one thing blocking an entire category of AI tools from being built the right way — on official rails. Agencies want their AI to build and fix workflows across sub-accounts at scale, and today that's simply not possible through the public API. Full workflow CRUD (create/update/clone/delete, plus triggers and actions) would unlock massive automation value and platform stickiness. Please prioritize this. 🙏

YES! its very frustrating to hit an API blind spot - it has me wondering every day if I could just vibe code up what little functions I need for myself - but that would mean shifting away from GHL. That idea makes me sad.

We need the ability to add raw HTML pages or static .JS for things like mega menus. Media storage won't allow for that, and it's ridiculous to spin up a wordpress site just to get access to an ftp to store raw files.

Look at what Salesforce has done. They fully expect users won't use their product's frontend. Now. Every single thing you can do in Salesforce is now an endpoint, accessible via MCP. To remain relevant, GHL must give the API (and MCP so AI agents can access it) top priority!

API first now also means MCP, so AI agents can access the API. Apps need to fully support MCP (GHL's current implementation is basic) just to remain relevant. People use Claude and ChatGPT to work with their favorite apps. If MCP doesn't work, they will find another app that does.
