Subscribe to Get Notifications from Channels

I’m writing to request a feature that would let community owners/members subscribe to receive notifications for new posts (and optionally comment replies) in private channels.
Current limitation:
Right now, I only get notified when someone @mentions me. There’s no option to be alerted when a new post is made in a private channel I’m part of. This means I have to manually check each channel regularly—or rely on workarounds like following every client (which isn’t scalable).
Why this matters:
I run a health education community where clients post support questions in private channels. Missing a post means delayed responses and unmet expectations—I recently overlooked a support ticket simply because I had no idea it was posted. Real-time awareness of new activity is essential for effective community management and support.
Requested solution:
Add a “Subscribe” or “Follow” button (or toggle) on each private channel that, when enabled, sends a notification (in-app/email) whenever:
A new post is created in that channel, and/or
A comment is replied to on a post I’ve engaged with (or on all posts in the channel, depending on preference).
This would function similarly to how mentions work today but apply to channel-wide activity. It would eliminate the need for tedious manual checks and ensure I never miss a client’s request again.
Thank you for considering this—it would make handling support within my groups significantly easier and more reliable. Happy to provide more details or use-case specifics if helpful!
