Make Subject Line a Mandatory Field Before Sending Emails

Right now, emails in GHL can be created and the “Send” button can be clicked without a subject line. However, if the subject line is left blank, the email fails to send entirely. This creates unnecessary confusion and failed deliveries.
If the subject line is mandatory for successful email sending, then it should also be a required field in the email editor itself. Users should not be able to click “Send” (or schedule) without first entering a subject line.
This simple UX update would prevent failed sends, wasted time, and improve the overall reliability of the email feature.

We have this problem now also. Your suggestion is good, other options might be...
If the subject line is a required then:
- You should not be able to click send and think it is sent. You should get either NO RESPONSE, or a response that the field should be filled in, or
- Allow us to set a DEFAULT subject for the subject line that autopopulates, like "From [xxxxxx] Company]"

Another option would be to handle it the way Gmail does if a user forgets to add a subject, in which case the subject line defaults to state “(no subject)” rather than letting the send fail entirely. This way, emails still go out, users aren’t left confused, and there’s consistency with common platforms like Gmail and Outlook.
