Please improve the Contact Profile Photo experience inside Contacts.
Right now, when editing a contact image, the only clear option is “Upload from computer,” which forces users to have the image saved locally before they can use it. This adds unnecessary friction, especially when the image already exists online or has just been copied to the clipboard from another source.
Requested improvements:
- Allow users to drag and drop an image directly into the empty profile photo placeholder.
- Allow users to paste an image from their clipboard to instantly update the contact’s profile photo.
- Allow users to upload a profile photo from an image URL, so we can use images found online without first downloading them to our computer.
- Ideally, support all three methods in the same upload modal for a faster and more modern workflow.
Why this matters:
- It saves time when updating contact records.
- It reduces unnecessary steps and file management.
- It makes the contact profile experience feel more modern and intuitive.
- It is especially helpful for agencies, sales teams, and admins who frequently update contact records from websites, email signatures, social profiles, and online directories.
Use case examples:
- Copy a headshot from LinkedIn or a company website and paste it directly into the contact profile photo area.
- Drag an image from another browser tab or desktop straight into the placeholder.
- Paste an image URL and let HighLevel fetch and apply it as the contact photo.
Suggested behavior:
When the user clicks the profile photo area, the modal could offer:
- Upload from computer
- Drag and drop image here
- Paste image from clipboard
- Add image from URL
This would make contact management much faster and remove the current dependency on downloading files first.
