Currently, the Send Notification action in Automations only supports external notification types (email, SMS, in-app alerts). We'd like to request the addition of an "Internal Comment" notification type that posts a message directly into the Conversation tab of the associated contact — visible only to team members, not the contact.
How it would work:
When a workflow trigger fires (e.g., a form submission, appointment booked, tag added, pipeline stage change), the automation would insert a timestamped internal comment into the contact's conversation thread — just like manually typing an internal note in the conversation view — but fully automated.
Why this matters:
Right now, teams rely on external Slack notifications or internal emails to flag important workflow events. Having the note live directly inside the conversation tab keeps all context in one place, reduces tab-switching, and ensures the assigned team member sees relevant context the moment they open the contact record.
Use cases:
"⚡ This contact triggered the High-Value Lead workflow on [date]."
"📞 Follow-up call task was created automatically."
"🏷️ Tag 'Hot Lead' was added — review pipeline stage."
Logging automation activity for audit/history purposes inside the CRM without cluttering the external conversation.
Requested placement:
Automations → Actions → Send Notification → Add option: "Internal Comment (Conversation Tab)"
This would be a lightweight but powerful addition that dramatically improves team visibility and workflow transparency — all without ever leaving GoHighLevel.
