Examples of use cases:

2️⃣ URL Field (Clickable Hyperlink)
Title: Add URL Custom Field Type With Auto-Clickable Link
Description:
HL currently stores URLs as plain text, making users copy/paste instead of tapping a link.
A dedicated URL field type should:
Validate the link format
Display it as a clickable hyperlink
Work in custom objects, contacts, and opportunities
Optionally allow display text (e.g., “View Property”)
Perfect for connecting external CRM records, job sites, dashboards, documents, images, and more.
3️⃣ Email Custom Field Type (Validated)
Title: Add Email Custom Field Type With Validation
Description:
HighLevel only provides a phone field type — no email field type for custom objects or contacts.
This leads to data inconsistencies, typos, and broken workflows.
An Email field type should:
Validate email formatting
Render as a clickable “mailto:” link
Allow multiple emails where needed
Extremely useful for multi-contact properties, billing contacts, and linked users.
4️⃣ Time Picker Field
Title: Add Time Picker Custom Field Type
Description:
HL has a Date Picker, but no Time Picker for custom fields.
5️⃣ Date + Time Field (Combined Timestamp)
Title: Add Combined Date-Time Custom Field Type
Description:
Offering a combined DateTime field avoids formatting errors and keeps data clean when scheduling or logging events.
6️⃣ Area Field (Length × Width)
Title: Add Area Custom Field Type (Length × Width + Units)
Description:
Platforms like Jobber include an Area field type that stores physical dimensions.
This is extremely valuable for industries like pressure washing, landscaping, paving, construction, and inspections.
Field should contain:
Length
Width
Units (ft, m, etc.)
This replaces needing to create two separate number fields.
7️⃣ Number + Unit Field (Measurement)
Title: Add Measurement Custom Field Type (Number + Units)
Description:
Many workflows require entering a quantity with units (lb, ft, % feet, gallons, sq ft).
Right now users mix text and numbers in a single field.
A Measurement field simplifies:
Material quantities
Volumes
Weights
Linear measurements
Fuel, chemical, or inventory metrics
8️⃣ Toggle Switch Field

Description:
Checkboxes work, but toggles are much clearer visually and reduce user confusion.
Nearly all modern UIs (like iOS, Android, Notion, and CRM dashboards) use toggles.

Description:

This is common in JotForm, ServiceTitan, and many enterprise systems.
