Ability to create and manage jobs & job types

It would be amazing to be able to create a Job where all related invoices, documents, contracts, financials, contacts, schedules or anything else related to that job can be found.
By allowing the creating of jobs, we could then create job types and track average revenue per job type.
The jobs could have start and end dates, event stages for tracking progress, multiple contacts that are associated with that job and more.
Right now, the system is set up to be contact centric, meaning everything runs through a contact. But when you're working event based jobs such as weddings, you need to be able to assign locations, times, other vendors, other events such as engagement or bridal sessions. By adding the ability to create job specific task templates, now every stage of that job can be tracked.
Once completed, the job can be marked as closed or completed.

Hi Jeff,
Thank you for your detailed suggestion about creating and managing jobs within GHL system. Implementing this feature would indeed be transformative for our operations, particularly as we coordinate complex and event-centric activities like those aboard the Bounty.
In our case, each sailing event can be considered a unique "job" with its specific set of requirements including different crew assignments, guest lists, catering needs, and timelines. Having the ability to create a job for each event would streamline our organization tremendously. We could attach all related documents, from safety briefings to vendor contracts and customer communications, directly under each event's "job" profile.
Furthermore, being able to classify these into different job types—such as public cruises, private charters, and special events—would allow us to track and analyze our performance and revenue on a per-event-type basis, enhancing our strategic planning and marketing efforts.
The ability to set start and end dates, along with tracking different stages of event preparation and execution, would also significantly enhance our project management capabilities, ensuring that nothing falls through the cracks. Moreover, associating multiple contacts with a specific job, such as different vendors or team members, would improve coordination and communication, making our operations smoother and more efficient.
Transforming this system from being contact-centric to job-centric for event-based activities would align perfectly with our operational needs, particularly in the context of managing diverse and logistically complex events that require meticulous coordination.
We appreciate your thinking of this feature, and I believe many others in similar industries would find immense value in these capabilities as well.
Best regards,
