Has this not been even considered by the devs? It's so frustrating that we don't have this obvious feature already implemented

That should be nice. And not only favicon....its very unuseable that it messed in the system. Somewhere you have to add from your storage/desktop, somewhere you can use the media library. It should be ONLY the media library

Or even better.. have one place to update favicon for all funnel and website pages..

Right now I handle it using a custom value

{{ custom_values.favicon_image_url }} but it doesn't save with snapshots so it's an extra step each time I load a new subaccount..

I have to go to each funnel and add that custom value in

It'd be great if there was one place in settings to just add favicon's URL for website and funnels and voila!
