Global Styling on Website and Funnel Build!
planned
E
ES Team - Sherwin Buagas
We need to add Global Styling on website and funnel pages. I believe currently by default we do not have that in HighLevel . (We have to style each page using a styling editor, which is a time consuming.)
My team tried to played around doing a Global Styling using CSS, but it will be a challenge for our clients to edit each CSS code just to change the styling on that specific element for the entire site and funnel(also we do not recommend our clients to edit the custom css if possible).
If we can add this new feature to website and funnel then this will be a big help for all of us for all the websites and funnel pages we will be creating.
Thank you in advance! 😊🙏

I spent a year and a half studying design, & learning Webflow. For designers & web developers coming to GHL, I'd have to say the builder is real clean but lacks a lot of basic functionalities that competitors have. I think updating the builder should be a huge focus as it's one of the main reasons people want to use GHL...for websites & funnels.
As my main site I've got that on Webflow. We've transitioned our setup to push out products/e-mails & building custom funnels for us and our affiliates on GHL. Much easier to manage things rather than connect a bunch of software and systems together.
Some other functionalities (which are basic) should definitely be implemented. E.g. custom design colors on a global level to easily style buttons, text, accents, etc.....and definitely adding global javascript/css. Additionally being able to add typography.
With Google Fonts, you'll also run into probs with GDPR stuff. Need the ability to custom upload fonts for sure. Found a work around doing it through CSS, but definitely not user friendly.
All these things would help with brand consistency, accessibility, and honestly make GHL so much better as far as the funnels/websites are concerned. This is definitely a must for designers/no-code web developers. Not only that, but this makes it easier for the client to change things if they need to.
Also wondering why we are able to use REM/VH etc. on padding/margin, but no way to use REM instead of px for text. REM is much more accessible and responsive. Also in the builder we should have an option for tablet mode. I'm adapting building from Webflow via a system called client-first, so a little more options in the builder would go a LONG WAY.
Another thing that might be a lot for the development team, but if implemented would be sooo awesome. The ability to use div blocks & flex.
Also noticing when adding columns/rows styling is automatically applied. I understand this is because it's harder to select sections, rows, columns in the builder itself which is why the layers pannel should be updated as well. Currently I need to manually go in and create templates with all padding taken off and PX changed to REM...this helps more accurately transfer Figma Designs to GHL. I can make it work, but requires a lot of extra time.
Relating to the Layers panel, some basic updates would really help. AKA being able to view the layers panel without it overlapping on the design.
I think these things could be implemented while not being nearly as complex as Webflow, but a much better experience as people learned it. I can build so fast in Webflow now that I've learned it, but is a much higher learning curve.
Meeting somewhere in the middle would be IDEAL :).
I totally understand updates are being made all the time with this software which is awesome to see. I think this should be on the "High Priority" & would improve the customer experience TONS!
I added some screenshots so the dev team can get some ideas on updating GHL builder. : )

Please hurry with this one! This is such a BASIC feature to have!

Make like Nike. JUST DO IT.
Seriously how is this not an option. Consistent brand identity is vital and you're just making it impossible.
Please fix this. It's not optional.

Yeah - would be nice if the Global Sections were actually GLOBAL lol

Pre-defined styles (colors, fonts...)

Hi, this would be great to define somewhere brand guidelines such as color palette, fonts, styles of buttons etc like Canva does. These styles can be automatically applied in funnels, websites, forms... Now I have to change/build everything manually and this takes a lot of time... Thank you

This has been on the board since 2022. Any updates? This is a much-needed feature

How's this coming along? Is there a timeline for when this might be ready? Thanks.

What about the ability to clone or copy styled elements / cells to other sections, pages, websites, or even sub-accounts? What about being able to create a CSS styled element or effect (with custom CSS) and then saving that element (complete w/ custom CSS as part of the saved element) and THEN being able to copy said element to other sections, pages, websites, etc? What about being able to split cells? I mean once you start talking about this, there is SO many features missing. I don't understand why they can't just pay a company like Wix, Wordpress, Elementor, etc. and simply contract w/ them for a modified version of their software and stick it into GHL. LOL

Great idea, Oxana. It would also be good if the colors you set on one page of the funnel automatically carries over to the other pages in the same funnel. But, I guess if they do create this feature, this may already be taken care of.

Anna Dornier thank Anna. Yes, the idea is to use these style throughout the whole sub-account or agency: in funnels, websites, email templates, courses, membership... So that you define once and then don't think about it anymore
