This would be wonderful to have. I have clients who host events and want to create an events page where an attractive calendar and event posts can be displayed. They don't want to add a third party widget.

Yes, yes, yes please. Events in the membership area is not enough. We need to be able to add promo events to webpages. Maybe you can expand the use of the webinar section to include simple events. Then add a grid element so a list of upcoming events can be displayed on any webpage.

We've repurposed Blogs to be used for our scheduled events.

We created some categories for the events, and add these to the Blog page like this bizdmp.com/events But it's a long way from a fancy Events calendar.
