Currently, when a quiz is added to a course, there's a way to set a Passing Score and mark each attempt pass/fail — but there's no way to actually block a student from advancing to the next lesson/item if they fail. A student can fail the quiz and still click directly into the next item in the course (in my case, a final electronic acknowledgment/attestation form) with no gate stopping them.

This is a serious gap for anyone using courses for compliance, certification, or safety training, where the entire point of the quiz is to confirm the learner actually understood the material before they're allowed to proceed or sign off. Right now, "Passing Score" only produces a pass/fail label — it doesn't enforce anything.

Requested functionality:

Ability to set a course item (lesson, quiz, funnel page, etc.) as locked until a specific prior quiz is passed with the defined Passing Score

If the student fails, the next item stays inaccessible/hidden until they retake and pass

Ideally, this would apply the same way "require previous lesson complete" style prerequisites work elsewhere, just conditioned on quiz pass/fail rather than just "viewed"

I saw this same request has been raised by other users on the Ideas board as well (e.g., "Ability for Quizzes To Unlock The Next Category Depending on Pass or Fail" and "Using Quizzes inside Courses, hide/show next course based on pass fail score") — it would be great to see this prioritized, since it affects anyone using GHL Courses for certification, accreditation, or compliance training where passing actually needs to mean something.
