There should be an option for URL shortening, both using a custom domain and a reputable URL shortening service like Bit.ly. This is especially important for SMS automation, where sending long URLs incurs higher charges.

I appreciate the existing QR code system and its ease of use. I'd love to see the capabilities expanded a bit further. Specifically, it would be fantastic if the QR section could include URL-shortening services. Ideally, this feature would allow for whitelabeled URLs through a DNS record, similar to how the branding domain is managed.
This enhancement would enable the creation of individual, trackable links, which could be used for various specific purposes. Additionally, these shortened links could also have QR codes generated for them, providing a unified, trackable, and branded experience. This would be particularly useful for campaigns where direct links and QR codes are needed while maintaining brand consistency.

We are also looking into a scalable solution at the moment. Our requirements:
-> Automated URL shortening in workflows -> A link can be created as an action in WF. The source of the destination can be pulled from a dynamic source, like a custom field of the contact. -> The result / shortened URL can be used in the following steps to either
A: Be copied into a different custom field
B: Be used as a dynamic source in following WF action steps / as a variable in an email or sms.
-> Branded domain for the URL
-> no limit (we will be creating 1,000s of shortened URLs / Month)
-> smart slug generation (min. length / Incremental — slugs follow each other in order / Random — slugs contain 3 or more random characters / Secure — slugs contain 12 random characters)
-> Track performance of links
-> UTM/Campaign settings that are added to the destination URL

I agree. Need something where we can either use a GHL provided domain or bring our own domain. Should existing within the QR code generator area. Great for SMS messages and overall general tracking of clicks within social posts.

I'd love to be able to monitor shortlink clicks in the same dashboard where I'd monitor QR code scans!

Yeah i use https://geniuslink.com this is one of the best one. We need a dedicated link shortener with stats link websites.

this would be incredible!!! I have media that i sent to my clients but the biggest issue is that the link is really long
