We Need A POS Inside The GHL Dash BADLY
M
Matt Wilson
I am finding it extremely difficult to convince businesses like beauty salons, hair dressers, or really any service focused business that has their customers book and attend their business for the service that GHL is an upgrade for them.
They always have the same grievances:
- No POS
- The Reporting is lack luster at best.
- No in person Coupon (obviously because there is no POS)
Most businesses have a POS system and most POS provide online booking that links in via an embed or similar.
Lead Connector feels bolted on and half baked, giving us some access to things like products etc but not coupons? Super weird.. it's right there.
If all they did was enable Lead Connector to be accessible from the GHL Dashboard for clients and have the coupons etc all feed in, this would be an easy sell to ANY business, not just ones looking for online booking functionality.

🚨DESKTOP POS IN DASHBOARD 🚨
We NEED to have a way to access the POS on a computer. There is no reason that if a client is using the software to run their CRM and can do everything else payment related on their computer, that they would not be able to use it as a POS system and run in-person payments on a computer rather than having to use a tablet/iPad to do it.

Point of Sale - In Person Sales - Automatic Discounts

Core Requirement:
The POS system needs to be able to apply discounts to services automatically when specific "tags" or labels are associated with a customer's profile. This is crucial for in-person sales, where speed and accuracy are essential.
Scenario 1: Barber Shop
Challenge: The shop wants to offer a discount to Military & First Responders, but they need a way to track who qualifies and ensure the discount is consistently applied.
Solution:
Customer profiles in the POS system can be tagged as "Military" or "First Responder."
When these customers check out, the system automatically recognizes the tag and applies the 20% discount.
This eliminates the need for staff to remember or manually apply the discount each time, even with different employees.
Scenario 2: Theatre
Challenge: The theatre has a tiered patronage system with different discount levels. They need a way to efficiently apply the correct discount to each patron's purchases.
Solution:
Customer profiles are tagged with their sponsorship level (Bronze, Silver, Platinum).
At any point of sale (concession stand, gift shop), the system identifies the patron's tag and applies the corresponding discount (10%, 20%, or 30%).
This streamlines the checkout process and ensures patrons receive their entitled benefits without any manual calculations or delays.
Overall Benefits for In-Person Transactions:
Improved Efficiency: Discounts are applied automatically, speeding up transactions and reducing lines.
Accuracy: Eliminates human error in remembering or calculating discounts.
Customer Satisfaction: Customers feel valued and appreciated when their discounts are seamlessly applied.
Loyalty: Encourages repeat business as customers know their benefits will be consistently honored.
Data Tracking: The system can track discount usage, providing valuable insights for marketing and sales strategies.
Key Takeaway: This feature request is about more than just discounts. It's about creating a smoother, more personalized experience for customers during in-person transactions, which ultimately benefits both the business and its clientele.

Yeah how is this not the first thing voted on like every day. I couldn't even find this without a Google search. NEED. Why Mobile and not in the dashboard?
