Visibility Preferences on Custom Fields

I think it would be an incredible improvement for people to be able to set Important Custom fields (Fields that show up on the first panel of the opportunity) As well as the ability to have Hidden Fields. (Only seen by an admin or data sent through webhooks etc). This would make it much easier to direct sales people to the fields they NEED to fill out, as well as the ability to hide certain fields that you might want to hide or you don't want to be changed by mistake.

Field Locking & Role-Based Field Visibility [Contacts & Opportunities]

We need better control over field-level permissions and visibility to protect data integrity and improve usability across sub-accounts.
Key Needs:
▶ Ability to lock fields (e.g., Opportunity Source) after initial value is set
▶ Option to allow admin-only editing for protected fields
▶ Role-based permissions (view vs. edit by user role)
▶ Ability to hide fields by role, especially for:
⟹ Automation-triggering fields
⟹ Internal-use-only fields
Why This Matters:
Sales reps frequently overwrite or mislabel key fields like lead source, which breaks reporting and makes it difficult to accurately track marketing performance and ROI. Additionally, too many visible fields create confusion and increase the risk of accidental automation errors.
Impact:
▶ More accurate reporting & attribution
▶ Fewer workflow/automation issues
▶ Cleaner UI for sales teams
▶ Better scalability across sub-accounts

Option to show or hide opportunity fields and their values from opportunity owners

Can we please have the option to choose to hide opportunity fields from certain users (this could be easily done by adding it in the staff > privileges section).
Use case:
You have opportunities assigned to your sales team members. However, as the business owner, you don't want them to see the commission value and Opportunity value, but you want them to see the other fields as they own the opportunity. As as business owner though, you want to keep the commission amount that would be in a custom field called 'commission', private and not viewable by the user/owner of that opportunity. But if your the Admin user, you can see the amount.
Can we please make this happen? It's not a hard feature to implement and would provide a lot of value and limit complete transparency by lower tiered staff who shouldn't be able to view the value of the opps.
It would be easy to add. How? see below:
As you create a custom opportunity field, you can tick a box that says 'viewable by admin users only? Yes or No" and if ticked Yes then even if a normal user owns that opportunity and can view it, they cant view any fields that have the 'yes viewable to admin users only' fields and their data.
🙏 Please please please make this an option!

We’re running into this across multiple sub-accounts—especially with Opportunity Source getting overwritten or inconsistently entered by sales reps.
Having field locking + the ability to hide automation/internal fields would be a huge win for:
▶ Data accuracy
▶ Reporting confidence
▶ Preventing broken workflows
Curious if others are dealing with the same issue? Would love to see this prioritized!
