Is it possible to add a feature to assign tasks to specific opportunities and show them as a column in the task list? Currently, I have to switch between two screens to associate a task with an opportunity, which is an inefficient workflow.

This is excellent. Thanks for picking this up. Whilst you are making these amends, it would be well worth considering the ability to associate products to opportunities too. This would make like much easier

Where are the Tasks Metrics on the new Dashboard? Like number of overdue tasks, tasks per user, future tasks for due date (next 7 days for example), avg. time to complete taks, etc.

Rich Ribeiro Yes, this would be a great idea. I'd also add the ability to filter by opportunities with overdue or due today tasks

This is needed asap....it is crazy that tasks don't follow the opportunities. I need tasks for each opportunity to manage the sales process. When one contact has multiple opportunities...the tasks (and notes) for the opportunities get jumbled up. we need tasks and notes for opportunities so that steps to completion and directions for the tasks can be followed, managed and used to hold employees responsible for the opportunity accountable.

Yes, we need to be able to assign tasks to either a contact, an opportunity or neither.
And when custom objects comes out to them too, ideally.
I have a client complaining about this just today - they have multiple opportunities on the same client, and the same tasks are showing up on them all.
This needs a fix soon as poss, to make tasks useful.

Tasks associated with: Contact, Opportunity, Custom Object, or None.
And assigned to a particular User or User group, or not.
