Please allow for there to be multiple opportunity contacts instead of only 1. For example, a husband and wife selling their home. We need them to both be contacts so they are getting emails, sms, etc from our workflows.

Hi everyone, this is now built and in private beta as part of the new Opportunities experience. An opportunity can now have several associated contacts (for example a husband and wife selling their home), each with a role label you define, and opportunity workflows can enroll those contacts by role into workflows that email and text them.

I just called Technical Support and they don't know how to do it. It's impossible. If a primary contact is assigned to an opportunity, we can add more.
