Notes specific only to Opportunities

Notes only pertaining to opportunities. Right now, notes can be written on Opportunities but these notes are tagged to Contacts. So, when you look at the contacts, these notes will appear on Contacts view. It would be very helpful if we have Notes only specific to Opportunities or only tagged to Opportunities and also searchable.

I am trying to have different opportunities in a pipeline that are associated with the same contact.
However, each opportunity differs from the other and i am storing them in 'notes' to know the difference. The note however is created too in the other opportunity so now both have the same note and can't differentiate them.
what's a good workaround for this?

Notes can now be added only for specific opportunities with or without their associations to contacts.
You can also filter out contact notes from the opportunities pages.
