Move Opportunities from one pipeline to another
complete

Matt McLelland
I want to be able to move a lead from one opportunity pipeline to another.
For example: A lead goes through all the steps in a pipeline to become a customer... then they get added to an onboarding pipeline to help them get setup.
This would be especially useful for agencies.

So tired of support marking things as complete without reading through the thread properly...

How is this not solved yet. Just create two separate actions. 1 for Create Opp and one for Update Opp - the update action should be used to just move between pipelines.

Freddie Sahhar I have tired this and it is still keeping an instance of the card in the original pipeline. I am not sure if this is a bug or the way it is supposed to be.

I think I figured this out. Try this workflow:
1) Pipeline stage changed
2) Remove from all workflows
3) Remove from Pipeline A
4) Update Opportunity to Pipeline B

Thomas Shiver did this work for you or did it duplicate the opportunity in the new pipeline
J
Josh Arras
Sean Richard this just duplicates the opp. We need it to move the existing opp from one pipeline to another with all of the information already collected and entered into that opp.

Thats only part of the problem... we must be able to automate moving an opportunity from one pipeline to another...

Pipeline of an Opportunity can be edited inside the edit opportunity modal in the Opportunity tab. The opportunity will be moved from the current pipeline to the one specified. Marking this as completed, do set up a call at https://speakwith.us/puru if you face an issue

Core Platform Can this be done with an automation? When I create/update the opportunity in the automation to a different pipeline, it just duplicates the opportunity into the other pipeline, and stays in the pipeline it is currently in.

Core Platform - What you have recommended is a manual process. This is not useful for scaling. What is the automated way to move Card A through multiple pipelines without creating a new opportunity?
M
Matt Hosch
Core Platform I agree, being able to move opportunities between pipelines through automation without extra cleanup steps would be ideal.

The OS Team Nope - not via automation. You have to delete the Opportunity out of the one pipeline and create a brand new Opportunity in the new pipeline (losing all notes, Opportunity owner and followers, etc.)

When having an Opportunity and/or Contact Open, Most CRMs allow you to change the stage and or pipeline at the top of the screen. I do not like that you have to go to the very bottom of the contact and have a tiny edit button to move the pipeline and stage. This should be at the top and very accessible.

Everything being asked for here can be done with triggers and zappier.
T
Trey McClure (admin)
John Demitri: You don't even need to use zapier; do it through a workflow in HighLevel

Trey McClure (admin) How is it possible to do it with workflow? For example, trigger would be form submitted - action move opportunity to onboarding -> active stage

Def something I would like to see as well. Closing and re-oppening opps will skew the reporting and analytics
