Lost Reason field

When moving an opportunity to "Lost" the default field "Lost Reason" field pops up BUT this field accepts any old answer my sales reps type in which means theres a number of useless Lost Reasons that i can not report from and becomes burdensome to sort. :(
I'd like the ability to either add my own values without creating a redundant custom field or at least be able to remove the reasons my reps put in.

We need to be able to toggle on/off the ability for non-admin users to edit lost reasons (and all other fields to be honest)

It is possible
You can go to Custom fields> Lost Reason > Select it and edit the same and then set the Lost Reasons you would like to allow

Pallavi Kothari but still man! The sales rep can type and create a new option, get it? We need the ability to remove this possibility.

Them not know what they’re doing and creating 10 versions of the same lost reason.
It should act like any other custom field where we set them and they select them. I don’t want the team making up random reasons. I need to be able to report on them too but can’t do that yet 😢 Pallavi Kothari

you can remove the ones your reps add in, just go into custom fields, find the lost reason and remove the fields you don't want as options. I agree though, perhaps where lost reason options cant be added at the opportunity card level

Yes the ability to create a dropdown menu with our own options or taking it from a custom field would be great!
