There's an idea under review that would allow users to add files to Contacts/Opportunities, but it would be immensely helpful if those two could be linked.

eg: for insurance agents, having the same insurance policy under contact and opportunity so they can access it from both sides without having to upload it twice. Or if anything, allow them to be linked in some way.
