Create / Update / ""MOVE"" Opportunities

Surprising that this was not already a thing.
Add the ability to have a automation that will take an opportunity and move it from X stage to Z stage. or simply move it to the next stage.
Uses: Help you in dealing with 100s of leads without having to manually move them or create complicated workflows that are hanging on a thread.
Able to add follow up workflows. IE you do an action, then it updates the stage for you.
Saving you so much time.
HOW TO MAKE THIS WORK?
I would separate "Create" "Update" and "Move" into their own workflow actions/triggers. Unlocking so much more and giving confidence to users knowing THIS will update the thing THIS will Create a THING. Vrs Create/Update like what will it do? if you have Duplicate Opportunities allowed this just confuses things even more.
Example how active campaign does it: https://help.activecampaign.com/hc/en-us/articles/115001928610-How-do-I-automatically-move-a-deal-from-one-stage-to-another-

It's crazy how difficult this is to do! our pipeline has so many opportunities that when we open GHL in our browser it uses 1.6gb of memory.
We need a simple way to move an opportunity from one pipeline to another keeping all the opportunity details in tact.

PLEASE make the UPDATE and MOVE automations separate!!!
We should be able to simply MOVE a Contact to another Pipeline or Pipeline Stage without having to Delete and Update every time.

Hi all, I've developed a marketplace app for solving this issue by splitting Create/Move/Update in 3 different actions. I've tried with duplicated opportunities and it works good. I've done it using the GHL API v2.
Before launching officially, I was looking for some volunteers who would be opened to test it out for free.
If you are, simply send me an email to innexumtech@gmail.com

Forgot to mention, you can easily move opportunities between pipelines. You can move an opportunity from marketing pipeline to sales, etc

Should clarify, you should be able to send them to other stages. IE a deal goes through the sales pipeline then gets sent to the designers they do their part then to the tech team they do their part then the X team then they do their part. So being able to move the deal/job/project around to different pipelines without losing all the info/notes/etc

Ashley Harsveld since you opened this discussion, would you like to become a tester of this?

What is taking so long???? This is basic functionality that REALLY REALLY NEEDS TO BE DEVELOPED

Matthew Etline same as others, I'm looking for testers ;)

Can we expedite this please!!!

Matthew Etline I second this! It pains me to see other new features being released while opportunities, the literal lifeline of our businesses, lack so much basic functionality.

Billy Edmunds i have done some more idea posts on the opportunities if you want to check them out - https://ideas.gohighlevel.com/opportunities/p/connect-custom-fields-to-opportunity-cards-just-make-opportunity-fields-act-as-c

This thread is really confusing to me... in the "Create/Update Opportunity" action you can update the pipeline or pipeline stage. This then moves the opportunity and seems to keep the other information the same?
B

Kate Cooper The thread refers to multiple opportunities being enabled which is when everything breaks. There is no way to specify which opportunity to move so if you want to move an opportunity, it will create a duplicate of the opportunity in a new stage. If you want to create a second opportunity for a customer using a web form etc, the data will be overwritten because you're "add/updating", without an ability to "create". There needs to be a way to search for opportunities using opportunity custom fields and specify exactly what you want to do with that opportunity. Without this ability, using multiple opportunities is disastrous. This is a major flaw and should be addressed with the highest priority.

Yes this is a solid enhancement for GHL to be what it wants to be. It's a huge limitation right now not being able to move a specific opportunity when you have multiple per contact. Multiple per contact is great but not when it breaks being able to update a specific triggering one.
