Resubscribe for LC Email

We need a way for contacts to resubscribe to our email list if they unsubscribe via the new LC email unsubscribe link.
This will be useful for agencies so we can test the unsubscribe link and resubscribe after testing.
It will also be useful to give contacts who unsubscribe the option to resubscribe in case it was an accident or if they change their mind.
There could be an option to resubscribe given immediately after someone unsubscribes. This is a very common way to do it. There should also be another way to do it if the contact wants to be resubscribed and no longer has access to the email.

Update on this please? Right now, this support article will no longer work because the snippet below the reason/choices is not there anymore.
That makes all the leads who unsubscribe don't get any way to resubscribe back in.

Currently members unsubscribe, sign up to new opt-ins and can't get those emails. We need them to be resubscribed if they opt back in on any form.

The problem is that the unsubscribe link is fixed and cannot be set by the user. If we can create own unsubscribe page and set an unsubscribe link, we can remove the recipient from the email campaign by deleting the tag from the workflow, solving the problem of forced DND.
Also, even if we are sending out multiple email newsletters, we will be able to unsubscribe from specific ones.
We receive inquiries about this issue from clients frequently, and it is a real headache, so we hope that it will be improved as soon as possible.

There should be an automatic email after someone "unsubscribes" to confirm the action BUT also give them the option to "Resubscribe" if they did it accidentally.

it would be good to have different options to unsubscribe. If you have fixed clients who want to hear from you by email because this is their preferred method of communication with you, then I cannot offer "unsubscribe one for all" to them because they would get cancelled. They may not want to receive marketing material but they may want to read newsletters. Unsubscribe should be much clearer and made available in a simple way. I did build a workflow for this with If/Else conditions, but I still think that the One Click button is the one shown to them on each email by default and that's not good and can cause problems in our communication with our clients.
