Add media upload (upload-media-content) to the MCP
D
Diego Londono
The MCP can create Social Planner posts, but it can't upload images to the Media Library.
upload-media-content
(POST /medias/upload-file) shows up in search_operations
, but calling it returns 403 "not available for this session". This happens even with medias.write
granted, and other medias.write tools like create folder, update and delete work fine. Why it matters:
create-post
stores external image URLs as given, and design-tool export links (Canva, etc.) expire within hours. A scheduled post needs a permanent Media Library file, so today someone has to download and re-upload every image by hand. That's the only manual step left in an AI-drafted content workflow.Request:
expose upload with hosted: true
+ fileUrl
+ name
, so an agent can pass a link and GHL stores a permanent copy. Multipart upload would be a bonus.Log In
