Padding still needs looking at. It kinda looks sexy in the UI, but it's so clunky to use. Being able to quickly tab around each side to change padding and automatically be able to type in a number would be brilliant. At the moment,it's like 3 clicks to change padding on one side. So if you're doing padding and margins, that's a lotta clicks!

I think this is asking to add gutter width to columns.

Here's a beautiful example of how margin/padding sliders work on Thrive Architect.

You can click on a margin or padding area and drag to shrink/grow the number. If you click the padlock in the center, you can adjust all the margins or all the paddings at the same time. If you WANT to, you can click the number and set it that way.

I can even click "px" to switch it to "EM" or "%".

Yes, hopefully they do this. The new version makes it almost impossible to build websites now.

We utilize negative left and right margin values quite a bit in our templates to create overlapping effects and would love to help our customers adjust and implement this themselves without getting into the CSS they are intimidated by.

Particularly since left and right padding is adjustable (unfortunately we can't use the negative values there to push the builder's design capabilities). It seems natural that there would also be left and right margin sliders (ideally, adjustable on both mobile and desktop to keep the page lean and reduce need for jumping into CSS to keep things responsive).
