Major Upgrade to Website/Funnel Builder to be on the same level as Elementor
in progress

As a web developer making websites from scratch and also with years of working with Elementor, I find the current website builder in GHL to be very buggy and it has a limited amount of elements.
Right now when I make a headline a specific font-weight, it just doesn't work. Also sometimes, the text font-weight differs from what is shown on the actual live page when I save + publish it.
As Funnels is pretty much one of the most important selling points of GHL, it really needs a massive overhaul to have:
- The ability to change color of certain parts of a headline, other than the limited options right now
- More elements (badges, tables, features)
- Custom styling on literally every element, as is possible in Elementor
- Saving elements/sections as templates to use in future work
- Font-weight settings on headlines that actually WORK

And another bug of mine is when we use our Adobe Fonts through CSS they look great on desktop but don’t get pulled through on mobile.

Section templates would be nice. I find that I don't need to reinvent the wheel to make a good website, just have some quick options that I can use to get started.

Take a look at Breakdance builder https://breakdance.com/
They are crushing other builders with more simplicity and more features at the same time.
One of the major things is the ability to create your own widget/element with the function, features and options you like.

If I was to "copy" a builder I would definitely copy framer.com
Nitin Chauhan
Iver Aune No, I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re looking to build a scalable website with clean code. However, their UI is great.
I

Nitin Chauhan that might be true, but framers builder is great for efficiency (bulk actions and mass changes with the right structures), flexibility, UI and UX. And its easy to build very professional UI and UX friendly sites.
Nitin Chauhan
Iver Aune Hey man, really appreciate your input but have you ever looked under the hood of Framer? Their code is a mess. Cleaner code means a faster website and it's easier to target code with CSS & JS. We don’t want to deal with thousands of divs. At the end of the day, you’ll need to write CSS & JS for a better layout and features. Sure, Framer's builder UI is amazing, but the code quality isn't. Try it yourself, build a hero section with Framer and Bricks builder, then look at the DOM. You'll see the difference. Professional UI/UX isn't just about how great it looks, it's about clean, efficient code, accessibility and good SEO practices.

Nitin Chauhan I didn't know. Thanks for the insight! Besides that though, still many features to take inspiration from.
Nitin Chauhan
Iver Aune yeah, i agree with that. Let's hope for the best.

I would also like to see the ability to have the pop up show different things or have multiple pop ups.

TOTALLY AGREE!!!!

These are the most important things we need because we are selling ready-made templates to clients. So, we want to use as little code as possible.
- Ability to change any heading part to multiple colors.
- Currently, if you need a border-radius, you have to enable a border, but there's no option to disable the border. Border and border radius are totally different and should have separate settings. Plus, the ability to add custom borders and custom border-radius.
- If you need two columns, sometimes you don’t want them to stack vertically on mobile. Sometimes you need them side by side. There should be a switch to choose whether to stack the columns on mobile or not.
- Global styling for everything like colors, fonts, sections, and rows. This includes spacing, margin, padding, and it should support every value like px, rem, %, etc., or even custom values where we can add CSS variables or clamp functions. We should also have Global Custom CSS editor. If I write CSS in one place, it should affect the whole funnel, no matter how many steps in the funnel. This way, we only need to edit our CSS in one spot instead of having to go into different pages. Right now, the custom CSS for forms doesn't work in the builder. If I write Custom CSS in the builder, I can't see the exact changes right there. That needs to be fixed. This would make it much easier to keep our design consistent across the entire funnel. Instead of jumping back to form & the builder.
- Ability to create custom breakpoints, or at least provide tablet breakpoints, is essential. Labels on all breakpoints in pixels indicating the current breakpoint within the builder would also be helpful. Currently, typography, layouts and some elements are not fluidly responsive, so we need more breakpoints. The design works well up to 768px, but below this, the layout breaks with no spacing at all, failing to respect desktop spacing. But, at 480px, it aligns again as set up in the builder for mobile. There is a noticeable issue with the layout between 768px and 480px. See the attached screenshots for reference.
- Currently, CSS media queries are not working inside the builder. It's necessary to fix this.
- Why not switch from using columns to more flexible HTML tags like Sections, Containers, and Divs? This approach lets us add multiple containers within a section and numerous divs within each container. We can leverage CSS Flexbox or Grid to design intricate layouts without limitations. Elementor often drops the ball here, their DOM output is a nightmare. We could learn something from how Bricks builder does it. If I add a section, I expect just that — a section, without any additional divs or wrappers cluttering it.
Section > Container > Heading.
Also, it would be great if we could change sections to divs or containers, and the other way around. We should be able to switch section, div or containers to other HTML tags like div, ul, li, ol or section. Or maybe you could let us add our own custom HTML tags. Being able to change things like this would really help us make our layouts just the way we want them.
