I'd like to strongly support this feature request, especially for native Two-Step Order Forms.
Many businesses rely on Two-Step Order Forms because Step 1 captures customer information and enables abandoned-cart recovery workflows before payment is completed.
Unlike regular GoHighLevel forms, Two-Step Order Forms currently lack the flexibility to add existing contact custom fields, including independent consent checkboxes for marketing SMS, AI-assisted calls, and other communication preferences.
The most important requirement is that these fields must WRITE NATIVELY TO THE CONTACT RECORD.
When a customer submits Step 1, GoHighLevel should automatically save all submitted custom field values to the corresponding fields in the correct contact record, even if the customer abandons checkout before completing payment.
Simply displaying custom fields is not enough. Their values must actually be stored and immediately accessible to automations.
Requested functionality:
- Support existing contact custom fields in both one-step and two-step order forms.
- Automatically write submitted custom field values directly to the correct contact record through the native submission process.
- Save values immediately upon Step 1 submission, without requiring payment completion.
- Support multiple independent, optional consent checkboxes that remain unchecked by default.
- Make saved values immediately available in workflow triggers and If/Else conditions.
- Preserve native abandoned-cart triggers, checkout validation, and payment processing.
- Require no external webhooks, APIs, secondary forms, or custom JavaScript.
- Reliably record consent selections for compliance and audit purposes, without treating unchecked boxes as consent.
Can the product team confirm whether native contact-field synchronization, particularly during Step 1 of Two-Step Order Forms, is included in the scope of this feature marked "In Progress"?
This is essential for businesses using GoHighLevel for checkout automation, abandoned-cart recovery, and compliant customer communications.

I’d love to see an option to easily add custom fields to order forms. Right now, it seems like we may need to rely on CSS, but I’ve tried several variations and haven’t been able to successfully add an extra field for collecting important information during the purchase process.
It would be fantastic if there were a built-in feature to add additional fields without needing a two-step order form. Having this flexibility on the main form would streamline checkout and ensure we get all the necessary information upfront.
I think this would be a great enhancement for more customizable and user-friendly order forms!

Restaurants need this for printing new orders in the kitchen with special instructions. I'm surprised you cant print the built in notes feature of the checkout in internal or email notifications for 80mm thermal kitchen printers - such a big demand for this.

It would be great to be able to add standard fields as well - company registration number, VAT/Tax number. These are important details to capture when working B2B, particularly if you have customers in different countries.
