Ability To Change Name Servers For GHL Registered Domains
D
Don Franklin
The ability to change the name servers for GHL registered domains so we can take advantage of having the domains purchased/registered with in GHL but the ability to use other Name Servers for DNS management for example to use one's own Cloudflare account (whether agency or end customer's). There are use cases where we need to be able to do this and currently if the domain is registered (bought or transferred in) with GHL then the DNS management has to be done via GHL.

Need to support all Domain Registration features

If we are going to have people registering domains inside of HighLevel, then it needs to support all basic domain registration functionality. At least:
- allow transfer in existing domains registered outside HL so we can consolidate
- allow use of external name servers
- allow transfer lock/unlock to allow transfering the domain out of HL
- ability to manage the registration contact info
Right now, registration appears to be a one-way street with only new registrations and forces use of HL DNS. With no obvious way to get the domain out of HL.

I have had to transfer most of my and clients domains out of GHL because of this, the limitations are prohibitive to add NS, especially since most of us are now using lovable and replit to build better websites faster, this is just making me go elsewhere faster. GHL allow for NS to be in the domain manager ASAP or you will be losing more and more folks to more advanced tools. This should be a very easy fix.

The overal dns management options in GHL are very limited. Hope changing NS will be available.
