Currently, when a document is generated through an automation (for example, a consultation report or client form) and remains in Draft status, it only appears under Payments → Documents & Contracts → Drafts, but is not visible directly within the contact’s record.
This creates a visibility gap for users and teams managing automated document workflows — especially for businesses where documents are frequently generated through AI or automation and later finalized manually.
Proposed improvement:
Allow “Draft” documents to be visible and accessible directly from the contact’s “Documents” tab. This would make it much easier to:
Quickly access all documents related to a client without navigating to Payments → Documents & Contracts.
Manage incomplete or pending reports directly in the context of the client’s profile.
Improve workflow efficiency for users who generate documents through automations (e.g., consultation reports, contracts, estimates, etc.).
Example use case:
In our setup, a form submission triggers an AI automation that generates a consultation report saved as a Draft document. Currently, this draft is only visible in Payments → Documents & Contracts, but nothing shows under the contact record itself — even though it’s logically tied to that contact.
Having these drafts visible directly in the contact record would greatly improve document management and client visibility.
Benefit for users:
✅ Simplifies navigation and document tracking
✅ Reduces confusion in automated workflows
✅ Provides a more complete view of client activity in one place
