Set Signing Order For Documents Sent In a Workflow
T
Tiyana Robinson
Although we do have the ability to set the signing order when documents are manually sent, we don't have the ability to set the signing order when a document is sent via a workflow.
Let's get this fixed! 🙌🏾

We are using for a wedding contract where we need the couple to sign and there is no way to automate the secondary signature. Much need feature.

Contract Features - important updates

- We really need the ability to auto send contracts in workflow while also being able to set the signing order and the specific internal user for who needs to sign first.
- As a workaround, we are just sending the contracts out manually - however we can't send any follow up messages and link to the contract link since we are sending it manually. So we need the ability to use {{document.url}} - even if we just have a way to grab the link for that contact and put it into a custom field.
- Being able to make signature fields optional
- Being able to connect multiple fields together so that if one field is filled out, then it will auto fill the connected fields with the same answer.
- Being able to auto-redirect after a contract is signed.
- Being able to separate the email template that goes out to the internal user vs the client.

It would be very helpful to have the ability to set a signing order within Templates. For example, the contact signs first, and then our internal user signs afterward.
It would also be great to have a “Partially Signed” status. This would allow automations to trigger once one of the signers has completed their signature, but the document is not fully signed yet.
Additionally, it would be very useful to have a dashboard view that shows documents waiting for a user’s signature, so team members can easily see which documents still require their action.
Thank you!

Need this. If there's a secondary signer, it creates manual work to assign fields to a secondary signer after a document is generated from a template. Not feasible at scale.

- Possibility to place multiple recipients in the contract template. To be able to create an automation to send to everyone to sign, not just the sender and the contact. Currently it is only possible to create multiple recipients if the document is created manually. For various types of businesses, it's important to have more than 2 subscribers.

Great request, and a similar discussion can be found here to also upvote to production: https://ideas.gohighlevel.com/documents-contracts/p/add-a-primary-and-secondary-contact-within-a-contract-document-template-and-work

Agreed! Is this still not possible?

Yes. This is needed. I am not able to set signing order in a template. I can do this for individual documents. Can we have the ability to set signing order in a template please

I also very much so need this. I am the final signer for contracts, but because I get the email when the contract is initially sent and not when it is signed by the client, it is completely up to my sales team to let me know that I'm the one holding up a deal. They are commissioned so it works, but I'd rather be proactive than reactive.

Allow "Signing Order" ON/OFF in Workflow. Right now, I don't see any way of doing this yet.
Workaround: Workflow will only create a draft of the document and needs to manually toggle that settings ON, then send the document. All signers are already assigned properly.

Was supposed to send an idea, so I'll add this as a comment instead hoping to bump this request up.
A few moments ago, I just got my document sent to all signers (it was sent via workflow). Good thing I was able to give a contact a headsup to holdoff until the other signer is not yet completed! Phew.
