My clients submit real estate deals for funding and contracts are created/autofilled using opportunity data (property address, funding amount, title company, etc) rather than contact data. I'm having an issue where a contract is sent out for signing and if the same contact submits another property, the data from the first property is being overwritten by the second property. I had to create custom contact fields because I cant use custom opportunity fields within the contract, so GHL thinks the contact data is just being updated rather than it being a completely separate opportunity.

I just realized that we can't add “Company” fields to the contract automatically, pulling directly from the company's registration in the CRM. B2B companies like ours sign contracts with other companies and their legal representatives. We need the client company registration fields to be pulled from the contract template instead of having to fill in everything manually. That's basic and would be great!

I am building a document that is sent to trainers about the trainee. Unfortunately, the fields from the trainee's opportunity are not pulling to the documents, even though they are there to be selected. They are just not retrieving the data to the document. Makes all that data inaccessible to pull to documents. I was told that GHL was working on this as of 4/2/2026 but it's a glitch and needs to be fixed ASAP.

Yeah, I believe that this would make things really easy, especially if you could use the custom objects as the property details and pull them in to specific documents that are associated with the contact.

A contract seems to be tied to a contact whereas a contract in our use case is tied to an opportunity. In the service industry, a customer can have multiple jobs and each job will have a contract. I don't see a way to add opportunity fields. Also, fields that are filled by us can't be linked to a custom field which is a limiting factor. For example, I want to add the opportunity value as part of the contract.
Going a step further, if from a UX standpoint, it becomes similar to forms and surveys where I can drag drop custom fields, it would be great.
