Project/Task Organizer Like Asana

To make this an all-in-one platform it would be great to have a "Projects" tab that allows us to create task, assign those to specific users, and restrict access to those users. For example, we could create an onboarding section and auto-assign those based on user type (Client, Account Manager, Sales, etc.). We could also have tasks that get assigned to the client. The client could login and see what needs to be done, what's being worked on, etc. This could also be added to the daily/weekly reports that go to the client so they are kept in the loop on things.

Hi everyone,
Thank you all for upvoting and contributing to this highly requested idea! We're actively exploring improvements to HL Tasks to better support your Project Management needs.
To help us prioritize effectively, please reply to this comment with:
Top 2-3 must-have features you absolutely need to manage your projects effectively using HL Tasks.
Any current workarounds or alternative tools you're using because these essential features are missing from HL.
Your detailed feedback will greatly assist in shaping these enhancements.
Thanks again for your valuable input!

We’re very interested in joining the Project Management beta and would be happy to actively test it and provide structured feedback.
We’re currently building a schedule driven project-management solution around HighLevel, so the new Spaces / Folders / Lists / Tasks structure has significant potential for us. However, for HighLevel to replace our external project scheduling layer, the following would be our top priorities:
- Gantt + proper task dependencies / CPM scheduling
- Gantt/timeline view
- Finish-to-Start (FS)
- Start-to-Start (SS)
- Finish-to-Finish (FF)
- Start-to-Finish (SF)
- Lag and lead between activities
- Automatic date recalculation when predecessor dates move
- Critical path
- Total/free float
This is the biggest requirement for schedule-driven projects.
- Baselines + planned vs actual project tracking
- Save/freeze an approved baseline programme
- Compare current programme against baseline
- Planned vs actual start/finish dates
- % complete/progress tracking
- Schedule variance
- Ideally basic earned-value measures such as PV, EV, AC, SPI and CPI
- Templates, resources and deep HighLevel automation
- Duplicate/template complete projects including task relationships
- Resource assignment/workload and resource levelling
- Trigger workflows from project/task/status/date changes
- Create/update projects and tasks through workflows and API
- Link projects/tasks to Contacts, Companies, Opportunities, invoices and documents
- Client Portal visibility at project/task/milestone level
Our current workaround is OpenProject for the project-programme/Gantt layer alongside HighLevel. Ideally, we’d like HighLevel to become the primary platform and only retain an external scheduling engine if absolutely necessary.
For non-construction task management, we currently use ClickUp.
We’d particularly like to test whether the new Project Management module can work for schedule-driven projects from initial enquiry → estimating/contract → approvals → procurement → construction → handover/defects, while retaining HighLevel’s CRM, automation, communications and Client Portal capabilities.
We’d be very happy to join the current beta and provide detailed real-world feedback.

Has anyone found a decent solution for this yet, or are we all still bolting on ClickUp/Asana?
Genuinely curious what people are using. I'm tempted to just build a native one myself at this point!
