Just as we can keep notes in a contact file, we should be able to keep notes in the Custom Object file.

Notes, as well as Tasks, Conversations, Internal Comments, etc. - make the Custom Object have all of the the same system-functions as any of the "standard" objects. Very necessary for case mgmt, file mgmt, realtors, attorneys, etc. - we need to associated calls, texts, emails around a File # / Custom Object. HubSpot does this.

You can do this. Create a Custom Field, multi-line text and name it "[Object Name] Notes" or just "notes".

Austin Hall this is a workaround that frankly sucks. They should work just as they do in the contact record. Where there can be multiple entries. It stores user details and time stamps.

Brady Bell I agree. We need proper notes on custom objects, to compete effectively with platforms like Zoho and Hubspot who offer this feature.
