Recently, the ability to associate existing records was added as a capability, which is amazing. However, it's completion also completed Mike Lovelady's "Remove Associations From Custom Objects via Automations" which was merged in despite not being complete. I'm reposting because it is a distinct feature.

I'd like the ability to remove associations in workflows as well. Currently, this must be done by hand, and you can't even use associate to re-associate a 'to 1' association to a dummy object.
