Yes, we need a DESCRIPTION field so we don't have to keep a spreadsheet of tag meanings/uses/instructions.
If the developers aren't keen on putting in a space for notes/comments, I wonder what their CODE looks like!?

Bill Welch tags are easy and fast to apply and sort contacts by, and you can apply many tags per customer. Then you can run campaigns based on the presence or lack of a tag on a customer.
I'm not sure about custom folders.

Caleb Christopher you can do everything the same and easier with custom fields and folders..

Would love this. I have clients who ask "what's this tag for" and we end up making spreadsheets that log the tag - it's description -and when to use it and remove it.
Having these columns in the Tag Section would be great:
Tag: ie. Bad Phone
Description: Indicates that the phone number for that client is bad.
Actions: If this tag exist then reach out and get a new phone number
