It would be helpful to be able to manually log activity like any other CRM that exists. Sometimes people call my cell or sometimes I call people from my cell, so in those cases it's helpful to have a manual log option.

Like notating a call or sms activity within the system. This would be helpful with managing smart list. Filter by last activity.

YES. For example, let's say that my client has a physical meeting with a person, or they call from their personal cell phone to one of their clients and they want to create a record within the conversations window that shows up in the timeline with the SMS messages, Phone calls and emails that they had a meeting, rather than just leaving it in the notes section, would be super helpful.
